Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly "really happy" with their photograph taken by royal photographer Samir Hussein. It was of them standing and smiling at each other under an umbrella, during a London downpour, as they headed to one of their last royal events.
Hussein himself found out the reaction of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from their people. Hussein told Us Weeklythat he was able to speak to Prince Harry and Meghan's team, who said that the royal pair were talking about the photo. The photographer also said that he has never had such a reaction like way people praised him for his iconic shot.
"In terms of the reaction I've had from people, that's got to be the most iconic from that point of view," Hussein said.
He also told Vogue in March that the shot of Prince Harry and Meghan was one in a million. Every element that should've been challenging for a photographer, such as the rain and the umbrella, came together.
Hussein is an award-winning Getty Images photographer who has covered many British royal family members for over a decade. The photographer, however, said that he's disappointed he won't be able to get more photographs of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they have moved to the United States for much of the year and stepped back from their royal duties.
"I've really, really enjoyed photographing them," Hussein said, adding that he hopes the Sussexes would return to London sooner. "I'm going to miss photographing them."
Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is dealing with a blow this week as the judge in a lawsuit filed by Meghan against the Associated Newspapers struck out some of her claims. Meghan is suing for misuses of private information, data breach and copyright infringement after the publication printed and edited her letter to her father, Thomas Markle, to alter its meaning, per NBC News.
The judge struck out Meghan's claims that the publisher intended to stir up problems between her and her father. Also removed from the claims were the allegations that the publisher had an agenda against Meghan and that it was dishonest about the way it reported stories involving her.
Apparently, the judge said these allegations were "irrelevant" to what she's suing for. However, the judge said that those points that were struck out could be reviewed during the trial.
