Prince William and Kate Middleton's country hideway, Anmer Hall, has been their place of isolation since this coronavirus lockdown started. But what is it really like for the royals to spend time in this country estate?

Anmer Hall, which is located in Norfolk in Sandringham, is some hundred miles away from busy and cosmopolitan London. Queen Elizabeth gifted this property to Prince William and Kate when they got married in 2011, per People

Prince William and Kate often bring their kids to Anmer Hall if there's a school break or a holiday. It's where Kate loves to get down and dirty with her children playing in the outdoors.

Locals told People that Anmer Hall sits in a quiet and peaceful part of Norfolk thus it's ideal for raising a family. It's been described as a fancy farmhouse because it's big and grand, yet it's homey and family-friendly too.

There are no formalities when guests come to visit Prince William and Kate at Anmer Hall. Here, the kids enjoy their usual homemade food as prepared by their mother.

But the old mansion is also featured with modern-day amenities such as a tennis court and an outdoor swimming pool. Prince William and Kate also made sure that they can still enjoy their privacy thus additional trees were planted in the areas thst surround the house to serve as covers.

Kate said in a BBC interview that the children have been spending their time during the lockdown building some tents outdoors in the garden. Incidentally, Anmer Hall has its own pond with swings, where the kids can enjoy more time immersing under the sun.

Indoors, however, find the Cambridge kids cooking and baking in the kitchen with Kate. The mom of three admitted that it's been a challenge to self-isolate with children during this public health crisis. Her older children have some questions about what is going on in the world.

"You don't want to, sort of, scare them and make it too overwhelming," the Duchess of Cambridge said in explaining the coronavirus pandemic to Prince George and Princess Charlotte. "I think it's appropriate to acknowledge it in simple ways and in age-appropriate ways."

Meanwhile, Anmer Hall is also big enough for Prince William and Kate to keep working digitally while the kids are in the other part of the house with their nanny, Maria Borello. As seen in various videos with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge talking to the charities they support, the interiors of their Anmer Hall home office are decked in white and old rose, with a classic English feel.
