Princess Charlotte is celebrating her birthday week by doing something her parents are quite familiar with. The young Cambridge royal reportedly joined Prince William and Kate in delivery homemade pasta for some vulnerable families around Norfolk.

According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their household staff, prepare about 1,000 pasta meals for pensioners during the coronavirus lockdown every week. Though this has been running for the last five weeks, there was a special delivery recently since Princess Charlotte, the birthday girl, got involved.

Prince George was also along for the ride and the family of four spent two hours driving in Norfolk to deliver the food. Prince Louis, who is only two years old, was likely left behind at home as the task would make him restless.

A local said that Princess Charlotte and her family got drenched in the rain as they knocked on the doors of some elderly residents to deliver the pasta. However, the royals didn't seem to mind the mud and puddle.

Kate shared photos of Princess Charlotte bringing the meals by the door. She was wearing a gingham dress, grey tights and Mary Jane shoes as she helped haul some bags from the van for the delivery.

Prince William and Kate also shared a portrait of the young princess on their official accounts on the eve of her birthday. All of these shots were personally taken by Kate.

"The photographs were taken in April by The Duchess on the (royal) Sandringham Estate, where the family helped to pack up and deliver food packages for isolated pensioners in the local area," Kensington Palace released in a statement.

Prince William once said at one royal event that his daughter is just as lovely as his wife, after one royal fan expressed that Princess Charlotte is her favorite. At five years old, the young royal apparently loves to do arts and crafts and is taking dancing lessons. She is also quite sporty like her mother and share the same love for the outdoors as her parents and siblings.

Meanwhile, Daily Mail reports that the royal household staff members have also been using their time in lockdown to make face masks, scrubs, scrub hats, headbands and washbags for the NHS and the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Even those at Windsor Castle, where the Queen is currently staying in isolation with Prince Philip, have also been making the personal protective equipment for the frontliners.
