Ivanka Trump became an official Senior Advisor when her father, Donald Trump assumed the office in 2017. As a White House official and the First Daughter, she has already attended several high-profile events in the last three years.

During the first year of the Trump administration, criticisms and objections were thrown to both the President and his daughter when he allowed Ivanka to sit for him in the G20 Summit, where top world leaders met in Hamburg, Germany. Amid the huge debacle over the issue, Donald Trump, reportedly, shared on social media his response to the critics.

As per Express UK, the US President stated that if Chelsea Clinton would be asked to hold a seat for her mother, Hilary Clinton, "Fake News" will claim "Chelsea for Pres." This has appeared to be a "jibe" meant for the critics, as well as the former First Lady, who he ran against during the 2016 presidential election.

The former First Daughter, reportedly, responded to Donald Trump's tweet. As stated, her response came with a greeting to the incumbent US leader. She also went on to explain that her mother, Hilary, or her father, former US President, Bill Clinton would never ask her to take a sit for them.

The response made by Chelsea Clinton had, reportedly, stirred speculations that it was a subtle slam toward her friend, Ivanka Trump. Although no confirmations have been made, several reports revealed that critics and experts were certain that it was a clear jibe to the US President and the First Daughter.

The publication continued that it was not surprising on the former First Daughter's part given that she has repeatedly expressed her disagreements with the current administration on social media. What was surprising, however, was the notion that she, allegedly, criticized her "close friend," Ivanka Trump.

According to Refinery29Ivanka and Chelsea shared a good and close relationship prior to the 2016 presidential election. In fact, the former First Daughter even, reportedly, "praised" the current First Daughter on interviews.

It was also pointed out that Ivanka Trump stated during the campaign in 2016 that nothing will change in their relationship despite their situation at that time. However, Chelsea Clinton revealed in March of 2018 that she has not "spoken" to her friend "in a long time."

This sparked speculations that the two women are no longer friends. But, during the State Funeral of the former US President, George H.W. Bush in December 2018, Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton were seated right next to each other. They were also seen catching a few "chit-chat" during the event.
