There was a time when Mike Tyson was very popular that he had his own video game. This was "Punch-Out" which came out 33-years-ago. Tyson was in his prime back then, someone who seemed unstoppable in the ring. And while some hardly noticed it, the former boxing champion has not forgotten that iconic game that was available on the Nintendo NES system.

Several versions of the game came out but with Tyson no longer the star. This was because the rights to use his special character expired. There were fictional characters like "Mr. Dream" that came out but the game just lacked the spunk to gain interest. Now, Tyson wants to create a new video game inspired by that and is ready to finance it using his cannabis licensing business, Tyson Ranch per Boxingscene.com.

"Hey listen, we're going to start our own Punch-Out game and our own Tyson Ranch computer game and bring it back to life, man. Bring back Mike Tyson's Punch-Out," Tyson said in an interview with Shacknews.

Seeing a new "Punch-Out" video game would be something, especially if Tyson's character is back. It would have been a neat idea had it been done earlier. With most folks holed up at home left to play video games due to the coronavirus, it would have been something that would keep gamers busy.

Speaking of coronavirus, Tyson also weighed in on recent developments. One of them included hoarding of goods at stores, particularly toilet paper. The 52-year-old says that people are going about it all wrong and that wiping one's ass would be the last thing he would think about if the world was coming to an end.

"I'm not going to be thinking about wiping my ass when I am taking a dump, and it's the end of the world. It's being with the people you love when it's going down. When it's over, wouldn't you want to be around the people you love the most?" Tyson said.

Tyson took the Internet by storm recently when he showed several boxing training clips and mentioned he wanted to return to the ring. He was offered by several groups to fight but Iron Mike set a prime requirement. He would only face a legitimate boxer if he would step back in the ring. Tyson believes it would be a grave disrespect if he fought someone who is not a certified boxer.
