WARNING: This article may contain spoilers for The Flash season 6 finale. Read at your own risk.

The Flash season 7 is coming at some point in the future and there are a lot of stories that could potentially be explored here. The danger is just lurking around the corner, and one of them is Bloodwork. He had the chance to escape but chose not to. He's still out there and possibly getting to strike once again.

But the question here is: will Bloodwork return in The Flash season 7? Speaking to TV Insider, showrunner Eric Wallace said they're saving this particular villain for a predetermined spot in the future. Members of Team Flash aren't also thinking about his as of yet.

Wallace explained that Bloodwork is not an immediate concern for the team at all. The primary focus is still Eva since she has just declared a total victory. They also need to get artificial speed force up and running, as well as get Iris back into the real world.

Team Flash has a lot on their plate already, so Wallace noted: "Bloodwork is in the wind at the moment." This villain will not appear in the near future as Team Flash needs to deal with what they're dealing with at the moment. And when he returns, it could set up big stories for most of the characters.

Meanwhile, Eva/Mirror Mistress is still part of The Flash season 7 once it arrives. In the season 6 finale, Eva was able to get out of the Mirrorverse and killed her husband. She also managed to make her way into power and is now one of the most dangerous foes Barry has ever faced.

Iris is still stuck in the Mirrorverse, which is already too long. She is in great danger and Barry has to do whatever he can to save his wife before it's too late. Her fate is still in question when The Flash season 7 arrives. It remains to be seen whether or not she's about to become the new Mirror Mistress.

Wallace teased there viewers should be worried about where Iris ended up as there are a lot of worse things happening inside the Mirrorverse. This cliffhanger wasn't originally planned, as this was meant to be a weekly cliffhanger.

Iris has been stuck in the Mirrorverse for a long time and this would affect her relationship with Barry. Wallace said the two will get a happy ending, but there could be changes along the way as Iris' time in the Mirrorverse altered her and turned her into a much stronger character.

While The Flash season 7 is officially coming, there are still a lot of questions when it comes to the exact release date. There is no clear answer to that at the moment as there might be changes moving forward due to the global real-life health crisis.
