Rumors about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting out of hand. The latest in the rumor mill claimed that the Sussexes are now running out of money as neither of them is working due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, the Duke of Sussex has no choice but to sell a few of his priceless possessions to make ends meet.

Prince Harry, allegedly, had to take drastic measures to have something to pay for their bills. So, it was said to be the real reason why he had to sell off his old hunting rifles.

Globe recently reported, via New Idea, that the Duke of Sussex sold his rifles for about $100,000. A source revealed that the couple is experiencing "financial pinch" after deciding to move to California.

Their alleged payment for their own security and rent to their U.K. home, Frogmore Cottage, takes its toll on their funds, resulting in a huge financial problem. However, Business Times recently reported that the sixth in line to throne sold his rifles to please his wife and not because of their money issues.

The couple's good friend, Conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall, revealed that Meghan Markle was not a fan of Prince Harry's hobby of hunting animals and shooting them. So, to please the animal-loving Duchess of Sussex, he stopped this common royal habit and just sold his rifles.

The Sussexes aimed to be financially independent when they stepped down as senior royals. There are multiples reports that say they eye to make money by doing speaking engagements and appearances. However, the COVID-19 pandemic affects their plans, just like anybody else in the world.

Does this mean that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are running out of cash? According to Business Insider, the pair is worth $30 million.

As a former actress, she has secured herself with $5 million fortune. Her husband, on the other hand, reportedly, has a net worth of $25 million, which mostly comes from his inheritance from Princess Diana, his annual allowance from Prince Charles, and the crown.

With this amount, they will impossible get broke, although there are reports that they still spend a ton of cash. So, how much do they spend to maintain their lifestyle?

As a style icon, Meghan Markle, as Leah Bourne wrote on Glamour, spent $500,000 on maternity clothes alone during her pregnancy. It is a far cry from Kate Middleton's $85,000 budget on clothing.

She was seen wearing a $2,000 Stella McCartney dress, a $1,390 Sentelar coat, $116 Banana Republic dress, and $123 Everlane jumpsuit, among others. Her husband, alternatively, was seen wearing a $170 J.Crew blazer for about 24 times last year. 

Meanwhile, it is not revealed if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are renting Tyler Perry's property, or they are just living there as the actor's guests. There is also no proof if they bought the lavish home.
