WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for Siren season 3 finale. Read at your own risk.

Siren season 3 finale previously aired on Freeform and delivered unexpected twists after one of its characters have met his ultimate demise. The episode particularly featured an intense story for Gil Birmingham's character, Dale Bishop.

Dale died in Siren season 3 finale, which is a shocking event for some. He is Maddie's stepfather, and even though he doesn't appear in most of the episodes, his death may impact the lives of several characters -- most especially Maddie.

Losing Dale could affect Maddie in a huge way and the aftermath of his death might be explored moving forward. He and Maddie shared some memories and the latter will probably reflect those and carry them through the rest of her life.

As for why the series decided to kill off one of its characters, it has something to do with creative reasons. CarterMatt noted that losing a key character could further shake things up and send others in different directions. Birmingham also has other gigs, including his Thomas Rainwater role on Yellowstone.

But aside from the death of Dale, Siren season 3 finale also delivered other interesting stories. For instance, the episode saw Xander moving forward in the police force. He found himself getting a new and stronger sense of purpose, which is worth-exploring.

Dale wasn't also the only character gone in Siren season 3 finale, as the episode also featured the end for Tia. She's been taken out as the result of the battle, allowing Ryn to have a better path and saving the ocean. Yet, there's also a concern when it comes to Ben.

In the closing minutes, Ben imagined his future and Ryn while his body rushed back towards the light. It remains to be seen it he's still out there and alive. Ryn refused to give up on him, so this is a cliffhanger that should be addressed in the potential season 4.

Ryn and Maddie's conversation before the episode ends also hinted that there's still a lot to explore. Maddie, in particular, takes a huge step forward with her life and she might be gone for a while. But eventually, she would be back in Bristol Cove.

Freeform hasn't yet officially renewed Siren season 4, so viewers may have to wait for the network's official announcement. And if ever renewed, it may not be arriving anytime soon as cast and crew may not be able to start working because of the real-life health crisis.
