Queen Elizabeth once received a letter from a frustrated American who asked if she could take the country back and put the U.S. under British rule again. The letter reached Buckingham Palace before the Americans had to pick a new leader after President Barack Obama, some five years ago.

According to Royal Central, the frustrated American wrote the Queen in 2015 that they have no good options from the presidential candidates after watching a Republican debate. The U.S. citizen asked Queen Elizabeth to "make the United States of America a colony of the United Kingdom."

The U.S. used to be under British rule from 1607 to 1783. The country was part of British America consisting of 13 colonies before the American Revolution in the late 1700s.

In response to the American's pleas, Queen Elizabeth apparently wrote back and simply said that she cannot "intervene in the affairs of another Sovereign state." The Queen has, more often than not, always stayed neutral when it came to politics. However, with the temperament in the world today and what's happening in the U.S with the riots, could the Queen have changed her mind about taking back America?

In a rare show of support, The Queen's Commonwealth Trust recently posted a tweet quoting a line from Civil Rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr. Though it didn't come directly from Queen Elizabeth, royal followers believe that this signals that the British royal family's support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Queen's Commonwealth Trust is a charity trust fund helping young leaders make a difference. Queen Elizabeth is the Patron while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are the president and vice-president respectively.

Meanwhile, Meghan, who is biracial, hasn't said anything public about the recent injustice against a black American. Yet her video from several years ago, where she talked about prejudice against her mother, Doria Ragland, who was called the N-word to her face, has started trending again.

In the video, Meghan said she has been discriminated upon, just like her mother, but she will continue to stand against racism and not treat people differently. She also said that she hopes to raise her children in a world that's more accepting of different races. At that time the video was released, Meghan has yet to meet Prince Harry and become a mom to Archie Harrison.
