Queen Elizabeth II remains healthy despite her age, thanks to her healthy diet. Although she can get all the help of the top chefs in the world to give her the best food that she wants, Her Majesty is not a foodie at all.

It is enough for Queen Elizabeth to stick to her usual diet. She is not into fancy dinners and remains simple despite her stand in society.

In an interview with The Telegraph, the Queen's former chef, Darren McGrady, revealed that Her Royal Highness was not a foodie, unlike her husband, Prince Philip. She just eats to live, while the Duke of Edinburgh loves to eat. He can even stand and talk things about food all day.

She also follows a "strict no-carb diet" when she eats alone. When she dines on her own, she remains to be disciplined, following the "no starch" rule. Of course, her meals are always healthy, usually composed of grilled fish or chicken with two different vegetables or a big salad bowl.

However, Queen Elizabeth still loves to treat herself at times, eating something sweet from time-to-time. McGrady also told Hello! that she is a "total chocohalic." She loves chocolate perfection pie, but her chocolate has to be dark--the darker the better.

So, what does the leader of the Commonwealth eats in a day? According to Brightside, she starts her day with a freshly-brewed Earl Grey tea without sugar and biscuit before breakfast. Her breakfast is composed of cereal and fruit, but she occasionally treats herself with toast with jam or marmalade.

For lunch, Queen Elizabeth takes a glass of a cocktail drink before she eats. It is always gin and Dubonnet with a lot of ice and a slice of lemon. As she avoids starch, it will typically be fish or chicken with spinach or courgettes.

In the afternoon, she enjoys tea with cakes and sandwiches. It may be cucumber, smoked salmon, and egg with mayonnaise or ham and mustard with no crusts.

For dinner, Queen Elizabeth will usually have a well-done steak. She prefers meats that come from local farms. Her favorite is a Gaelic steak, served with a sauce of mushroom, cream, and whiskey. She also loves a Sunday roast. In other times, she eats lamb, roast beef, mutton, or grouse.

Lastly, after dinner, Queen Elizabeth drinks a glass of champagne. Sources revealed that she usually ends her day with a drink. However, it is not just usual champagne, as it has to be from the eight brands that have royal warrants.
