The rivalry between Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump was deeper than what the public has known. It was revealed that President Donald Trump's eldest daughter tried to rename the Office of the First Lady during the early days of his administration but Melania blocked Ivanka.

As many know, Melania stayed in New York City even after Trump took an oath of office in January 2017. Reports have it that Mrs. Trump waited for their son, Barron, to finish his academic year in NYC before they finally moved to the White House.

However, according to Mary Jordan's new book, titled The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump, Melania resisted moving immediately to the White House. Apparently, it was because she renegotiated her prenup with Trump.

Jordan also noted that aside from renegotiating her prenup, Melania also made sure that Barron would get his rightful share of his father's inheritance. The author hinted that the former model is worried about her son's future in the Trump Organization. Apparently, Melania's worries were based on the possibility that Ivanka would eventually take the helm in the family business.

At the time that Melania decided to stay in New York, Ivanka took an active role in the Trump administration. She got appointed as a senior adviser in her father's administration.

Ivanka also, reportedly, used her influence as First Daughter and sought to take over the office space in the East Wing that is reserved for the First Lady. The 38-year-old mother of three, allegedly, tried to rename the FLOTUS' office at the White House to the "First Family Office." Melania, however, blocked her stepdaughter.

Jordan added while the new First Lady hasn't arrived, Ivanka enjoyed the White House perks including the private residence. The First Daughter, allegedly, treated the private residence as her own and Melania did not like it. When she finally moved into the White House, Melania put "firm boundaries" in her private space.

The book also implied that Trump was taken by surprise with his victory over Hillary Clinton. Apparently, the real estate mogul originally plans to travel to one of his resorts in Scotland right after the election because he didn't want to watch Clinton's victory.

White House spokesman Judd Deere denied all claims made by Jordan. Deeree stressed the author's claims are all false and failed to fact check the information written on the book to the White House or Ivanka.

The excerpts of The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump were published in The Washington Post. The book is set to hit bookshelves on June 16.
