Like First Lady Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump also promoted the use of face masks amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Ivanka shared a photo of her and her daughter, Arabella, wearing face masks and urging the public to do the same as instructed by the Center for Disease Control. However, not all are pleased with the First Daughter's post on social media.

Ivanka is the latest member of the Trump family who openly supports the new CDC guidelines on how to combat the spread of coronavirus and one of their recommendations is to wear a face mask. Ironically, this has been defied by President Donald Trump himself.

The CDC released on April 3 a new guidance on wearing non-medical masks. In one of his press conferences, the president said the CDC's recommendation on wearing face coverings in public is strictly voluntary before adding that he doesn't plan on following the agency's suggestion.

"I don't think I'm gonna be doing it. You can do it, you don't have to do it. I'm choosing not to do it...It is only a recommendation, it is voluntary," he said.

As for Ivanka and her children, it looks like they would follow the CDC than the president. In fact, she and her daughter, Arabella, also sew their face masks.

On Monday, the mother-of-three showed off the handmade face masks that she and Arabella made for them. In her tweet, she said her daughter made the mask she is wearing while she did Arabella's black and white face mask. In the photo, Trump's daughter is seen wearing a black handmade mask with the word "USA" stitched on it.

"...let's keep ourselves and each other safe by following CDC's recommendation to wear a face covering when out in public to help protect the most vulnerable from #COVID19," she tweeted.

The president's wife, Melania Trump, earlier promoted the CDC advice to wear a mask. In her tweet, FLOTUS urged Americans to take social distancing and wearing a mask/face covering seriously. She also posted a photo of her wearing a mask.

Despite the encouraging message on Ivanka's latest tweet, some Americans don't seem to appreciate the gesture. Some slammed the senior advisor to the president for compelling them to make their own face mask while their loved ones are dying from the virus. One blaster Ivanka for turning the worldwide pandemic into an art and craft bonding moment.

"This woman is tone deaf. She is treating this like an arts & crafts event. This family is responsible for this assault on our lives and loved ones," a Twitter user wrote.
