Donald and Melania Trump are not known to show affection to each other in public. In fact, they were often mocked whenever Melania was photographed avoiding body contact with her husband. Hence, when they took a photo together at the iconic Taj Mahal, many were stunned when the First Couple showed a very rare instance of PDA.

The couple is, currently, in India for a two-day visit. After his meeting with India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and greeted by reportedly 110,000 fans at the Motera Stadium, Trump and Melania took the time to visit the Taj Mahal.

The 17th-century mausoleum was considered as one of the most romantic landmarks in the world. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife and empress consort, Mumtaz Mahal.

A body language expert said "romance" can be detected between Donald and Melania Trump based on their photo at the monument. Judi James compared the President and the First Lady's photo to that of Princess Diana in 1992. It is the most famous photograph taken at the location up to this date.

In the picture, Diana looked sad and vulnerable as she sits alone on the bench and surrounded by an empty space that could have been filled by her then-husband Prince Charles. James said Diana hinted at her troubled marriage at the time she was photographed alone at the Taj Mahal.

James said though the Trumps chose to just stand next to each other rather than to look at each others' eye or share a kiss, the couple still showed affection to each other as they clasp their hands. Apparently, this suggests that the romantic ambiance has an effect on the President and his First Lady.

"In contrast with Diana's uncoupling signals, the Trumps pose here in a state of conscious coupling...and mirrored in a rare moment of PDA," she told Express

FLOTUS looked elegant as usual in her ivory jumpsuit paired with an Indian traditional green scarf tied around her waist. Trump, on the other hand, was clad in his usual navy blue suit. He paired it with a bright yellow tie.

Meanwhile, Ivanka Trump also took a photo of her own at the most iconic spot of the Taj Mahal. Her photo could resemble Diana's picture more than the photo of POTUS and FLOTUS. It was because Ivanka was alone in the snap like the Princess of Wales.

Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, arrived in India with the First Couple. It is uncertain why Jared was not in the photos that Ivanka shared on Twitter.
