US First Lady Melania Trump has been known for her superb fashion style and she wants her staff to dress impressively as well. On the upcoming official visit of Donald Trump and FLOTUS in India, it has been reported that Melania would like her local staff to wear a specific outfit.
Reports have it that Mrs. Trump has assembled a 10-member group of Indian women to assist her on their upcoming trip to the country next week. The First Couple is expected to land in the Indian capital, New Delhi, on February 24. They are, reportedly, scheduled to stay in the country for two days.
According to Indian publication Financial Express (via Express), the First Lady has formed a team and it will be headed by a female Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. They were reportedly ordered to wear trousers and blazers instead of their traditional khaki uniform. Moreover, they are given special training which includes the manner on "how to talk" while they accompany Melania.
With this in the news, many are anticipating Melania's outfit choices when she lands in India. FLOTUS was recently mocked for wearing a bright green coat on her shoulders when she and POTUS welcomed Ecuadorian President Lenín Moreno and his wife Rocio Gonzalez to the White House earlier this month.
Melania wore the coat on top of her white sweater which she also paired with a $7,700-worth python leather pencil cut skirt and a Manolo Blahnik suede stilettos. Some Twitter users thought it was a fashion faux pas for the former model.
It was a rare instance that Melania got mocked by her fashion choices. In many instances, she received praise even from non-fan of hers.
However, some fashion stylists believed Melania has toned down when it comes to her wardrobe choices since Trump got elected as President. Stylist Naina Singla said Melania used to wear body-hugging, plunging necklines, and miniskirts. But that changed to a more conservative look when she became the First Lady of the United States.
Meanwhile, Donald and Melania Trump will reportedly visit New Delhi, Agra, and Ahmedabad during their two-day visit. They will be officially welcomed at an event, named Namaste Trump, at the world's largest cricket stadium. POTUS is expected to hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi while Melania will visit a government school while in New Delhi.
India has reportedly spent over $63 million for Trump's three-hour visit to Ahmedabad only. The fund was used to clean the roads, prepare cultural events, and for the security of the US delegation.
