As Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, are back on their royal duty, the latter revealed she is finally able to see her grandchildren. The future queen celebrated the fact that she could now have a glimpse of her family members after self-isolating for months.

As the COVID-19 lockdown measures in the United Kingdom are now easing, Prince Charles and Camilla made their first royal duty in public. After carrying out a socially distanced visit to meet the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital's keyworkers, the 72-year-old royal revealed she was finally able to see the kids in her family.

The duchess told ITV in an interview, via Hello! Magazine, she already saw her grandchildren for the first time over the weekend. Although she did not have the chancee to hug them, seeing them was already a "great treat" for her.

She has five grandkids from her first marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles. The two had been married for 22 years, tying the knot in 1973. They share two children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laure Lopes.

Laura Lopes has three kids, Eliza and the twins Gus and Louis. Alternatively, Tom Parker Bowles has two children, Lola and Freddy. These kids' photos were seen in Camilla's Birkhall living room and office after pictures emerged of her remote work, using telephone and video calls to hold meetings during the lockdown.

However, it remains to be seen if Prince Charles already saw her grandkids from Prince William and Prince Harry. It is also yet to be revealed if he has met any family members after as the lockdown measures in the country gradually ease.

The Duke of Cornwall and his wife have been isolating at their Scottish residence since March. However, they are bound to return to London this week to meet President Emmanuel Macron at Clarence House on Thursday, June 18.

After the Prince of Wales contracted coronavirus in March and experienced mild symptoms, he isolated for seven days. Although Camilla did not have the disease, she was quarantined for 14 days, following medical advice.

Now that they are all fine, People noted that Camilla and Prince Charles have now returned to their royal duty after their self-isolation. They went to Gloucestershire on Tuesday, June 16, to meet the essential workers who were working on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The royal couples expressed their deepest gratitude to the frontliners as they continued to risk their lives to keep the healthcare and emergency serves going throughout the crisis. It took Prince Charles and Camilla about 30 minutes to meet around 20 healthcare workers in the hospitals, who were all following the strict social distancing rule.
