Royal aides now fear how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new book, Finding Freedom, will portray Prince William's role in their departure from the monarchy. They are afraid that it may show Kate Middleton's husband as the reason for the royal rift and why they decide to step down as senior royals.

An inside source revealed Prince William might be portrayed as "unsympathetic and unfeeling" and never supported Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they chose to leave the royal family. In a discussion among themselves, the aides are now worried that the book could be one sided; only showing the Sussexes' side of the rift, per The Sun.

Although Finding Freedom is not an official biography, it may only delve into the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's side of the story. If this happens, it will be very unfair to the Duke of Cambridge.

The insider explained that the aides are now worried that the future king would be "portrayed in a bad light." They believed that this kind of family problem should never be out in public and should never happen to the future monarch.

The tipster continued that Finding Freedom could be the "most damaging thing" that would happen to the royal family after Princess Diana's controversial interview on Panorama with Martin Bashir. Their main concern is it might somehow paint Prince William as the villain against "the kind and philanthropic" Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The aides are afraid that Prince William may be portrayed as "unsympathetic, unfeeling, and unsupportive." Although no one knows what exactly is in the book, they are worried it may taint his image and reputation.

Daily Mail added that it might also feature Queen Elizabeth II's "Megxit" showdown talks at Sandringham, where the royal family came together to talk about their transition. Prince William's role in the discussion might also be put in a bad light after it was reported that he was the last one to arrive and made a quick exit in the aftermath.

After the talk, it was decided that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should drop their HRH titles. They then outlined their plans to be financially independent and earn their own income.

Kensington Palace has yet to comment about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new book, saying it will not give a statement about it. Finding Freedom is now, reported, being re-drafted. It is set to be released in August.
