Kate Middleton and Prince William are the type of parents who "never shout" at their children to discipline them. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also use a "chat sofa" to talk to George, Charlotte or Louis if one of them has been misbehaving.

According to The Sun, Kate and Prince William talk to their children with calm and care if they are in row with another sibling. As parents, they explain to their kids the consequences of their actions and never raise their voices.

A source said that shouting is actually off limits in the Cambridge household. The child who is shouting at another sibling is also taken to a chat sofa.

Of the two parents, Kate is apparently the strict one than Prince William. Their nanny, Maria Borrallo, is firm but it is Kate who is mostly the disciplinarian. The source describes the partnership between Kate and the nanny as a "military operation" but it doesn't look this way because the George, Charlotte and Louis are quite happy and relaxed, as children should be.

During this pandemic lockdown, Kate admitted that their parenting experience has its ups and downs. However, the Duchess of Cambridge ensured that they children kept with their routines especially with George and Charlotte's homeschooling requirements.

Kate even continued with this routine even as the children were briefly on a school break last Easter, prompting the Duchess of Cambridge to admit in an interview that she felt very mean for not telling her kids. But as much as she instills discipline, Kate also provides the children fun and creative activities so it's not all about hardcore school work.

At Anmer Hall, where the Cambridges have been isolating for the last three months, George, Charlotte and Louis have the space for outdoor fun because the estate has its tennis court, pond and swings. So, the family has regular walks, bike rides and camp outs.

Indoors, the children have fun at the kitchen where they bake a lot of chocolate cake. Prince William admitted that he did a lot baking during the lockdown and his kids have been "attacking the flour" and making a lot of mess.

Recently, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge returned to their in-person royal engagements. While Buckingham Palace said they will still continue with video calls, the Cambridges are likely moving back to Kensington Palace in London soon as their work continues and the lockdown eases.
