Prince Harry's decision to leave the monarchy, reportedly, takes its toll on him. Meghan Markle's husband, allegedly, feels distressed and "secretly tortured" after stepping down as a senior royal, feeling the hardships of living a new life in Los Angeles.

In the new book, Royals at War: The Inside Story of Harry and Meghan's Shocking Split with the House of Windsor, the authors Andy Tillett and Dylan Howard revealed Prince Harry is "suffering cabin fever." He, too, is, allegedly, struggling adjusting to his new life in the United States, The Sun noted.

What the Duke of Sussex is feeling as he is starting living in a different country gets worse when his father, Prince Charles, tested positive for coronavirus in March. What he is experiencing in beginning his new life in Hollywood is far from what he is expecting.

From being excited, the sixth in line to the throne is "feeling secretly tortured" about their decision to move. He is missing his family back in the United Kingdom. This time, he finally realizes that his dad and grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, will not be around forever.

In a different Robert Lacey book, Battle of Brothers, he also claimed that the past 18 months have been tumultuous for the Royal Family, as it saw the "devastating breakdown" of Prince Harry and Prince William. Their "once unbreakable bond" has now broken, CBC reported.

Upon the death of their mother, Princess Diana, in 1997, they, reportedly, started to get close. The royal biographer, who also serves as The Crown's historical consultant, said no one would understand "what they had been through," losing their mom at a young age and growing up in the spotlight.

Fortunately, an insider revealed that Meghan Markle is doing everything to support her husband in the new life they chose. She is making him sure that when everything returns to normal, he is going to "love their new life in L.A." The former actress, reportedly, wants to take her husband to hike and talk about the local polo club and how he will possibly love surfing.

This news comes after news emerged that the Sussexes signed with the high-profile speaking agency, Harry Walker Agency, which also handles the likes of Barack and Michelle Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Serena and Venus Williams, and the media tycoon Oprah Winfrey. It is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's first major career move since they started living in the U.S. as their bid to be financially independent.
