It has been five years since Adele last dropped her most recent album, 25. As fans have been waiting for her new music for far too long, the 32-year-old hitmaker finally gives an update about it.

After Adele shared a throwback photo of herself on Instagram while performing at the Glastonbury Music Festival in 2016, her followers believed it was a teaser of what was to come. She simply captioned the post with a smiling emoji, but fans could not help but think it was a hint of something that she was brewing.

At the time, the songstress was wearing a custom Chloe black dress that had colorful embroidery details. As the photo was captured while she was performing, one fan asked if it was a teaser and an album might be coming on that day, eagerly asking her to tell them what it was all about.

However, it looked like the singer-songwriter only missed singing, having a nostalgic moment, so she shared the old photo. She even reminded everyone that they were still facing the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adele explained that the photo was not a teaser of a new album, and the coronavirus was still not over yet. She even advised her fans to wear a mask and be patient, adding a heart emoji to her comment.

Sources told Hollywood Life that the "Someone Like You" hitmaker's new album might reference her breakup from husband, Simon Konecki, in a very respectful way. The insider explained that she would never disrespect or speak badly about the father of her child, Angelo.

She would never do anything like that out of respect for the CEO of Drop4Drop. Fans are used to hear Adele singing heavy love ballads about her past relationships. It is already part of who she is and how she makes her songs, so it is not far that her failed marriage will be addressed in her new album.

Meanwhile, her manager, Jonathan Dickins, said that his client's musical comeback would be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He told Music Week, via Digital Spy, that new album would not be out in September like the original plan.

Adele's new album would be ready when it is ready, explaining that just like everybody else, everyone is doing their own thing when the world suddenly stops because of coronavirus. Although Dickins could not say what date exactly it would be out, he assured everyone that they now have new music, and they are still working for it.
