Manifest season 3 is officially coming on NBC, yet there's still uncertainty surrounding it. At the moment, it remains to be seen when production could start. Because of the real-life health crisis, the arrival of the third installment has been impacted.

Manifest season 3 is on the fall schedule of NBC. However, there is no guarantee it could premiere either September or October since everything depends on the current situation. The health and safety of everyone on set remain to be the top priorities for now.

Meanwhile, it looks like we'll be getting the same number of episodes once the new season premieres. Showrunner Jeff Rake revealed via Twitter they'll likely have 13 episodes for the latest installment. Yet, there's also a possibility that the episode count might be changed -- depending on the story.

As for the story, Manifest season 3 will pick up the events that happened in the previous installment. NBC released a clip of the series, teasing mores stories and mysteries are coming. For instance, there's a question as to how Zeke survived his death date and how did the piece of plane ended up in the ocean.

There's a mystery as to how Zeke is still alive, but this gives hope for Michaela, Ben, and other passengers on Flight 828. Perhaps, they could find a way on how to beat their death dates -- just like Zeke. But in doing that, they could be facing more danger in Manifest season 3.

As for the remnants of the plane found in the ocean, it raises questions about the existence of the passengers. One of the biggest mystery here is how did the plane exist in the ocean, given that it landed during the pilot episode. This is something that the characters have to figure out.

The upcoming installment could provide answers to some of the questions since the beginning. The central mystery here is the mysterious disappearance of Flight 828, something that may be further addressed. There are a lot of things going on here and we'll likely see new faces when the show returns.

Rake previously told TVLine that more passengers of Flight 828 will show up in Manifest season 3. He noted that Michaela and others must communicate with them for a very important reason. And as the series progresses, we'll discover who are the friends and enemies of Michaela.

Manifest stars Melissa Roxburgh as Michaela Stone, Josh Dallas as Ben Stone, Parveen Kaur as Saanvi Bahl, Jack Messina as Cal Stone, Matt Long as Zeke Landon, Athena Karkanis as Grace Stone, Luna Blaise as Olive Stone, and J. R. Ramirez as Jared Vasquez.
