It's been six months since Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were first and last seen exchanging pleasantries in public. But tabloids are still aren't convinced that nothing is going on between them. A new rumor has been circulating that ex-spouses are planning to buy an island together.

New Idea published a story this week claiming Pitt and Aniston are in talks to put their names together on the deed of sales for Double Island, an island off the coast of Australia. The tabloid claimed the former couple decided to buy the island because they fell in love with the place when they spent New Year's there together in 2002.

A source of New Idea alleged it's a dream project for Brad and Jen, suggesting that they could make the island into a private party resort. The insider speculated that the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor and Aniston would likely make the supposed island into a private residence with resort amenities.

It added that buying the island together would allow both the Hollywood stars to indulge in their mutual passion for architecture and design. Pitt and the Friends actress have been known for their same interest in building and designing homes.

Gossip Cop, however, debunked the New Idea story. The outlet reiterated that Aniston and the Ad Astra actor are not back together. A spokesperson for Jen also dismissed the rumor, stressing that The Morning Show star is not buying an island with her ex-husband.

Gossip Cop added that it is true that Pitt and Jen are millionaires and could buy an island on their own if they wish too. However, it doesn't see anything special about the Double Island in comparison to the other places that the two had been together as a couple.

It is also worth noting that this is not the first time that tabloids tried to reconnect Pitt and Aniston to a place they used to own as a couple, had spent a vacation together, or that would interest them. Back in April 2019, the same tabloid claimed the actor was purchasing the property where he and Aniston used to live

Earlier this year, Life & Style published almost the same report. It claimed Brad and Jen have rekindled romance and joked about buying their own Beverly Hills home where they can move back in together. The tabloid source, however, claimed the ex-couple ultimately decided to buy a new home and create new memories rather than repurchasing their old mansion.

In April, Woman's Day claimed Pitt was pulling out all his design and building skills as he was constructing a lake house in Ozark for his first ex-wife. The house was, allegedly, near the house of his parents, who have a close relationship with Aniston. All three rumors were dismissed by Gossip Cop as false.
