New York governor Andrew Cuomo unleashed a scathing attack on President Donald Trump, condemning him as president of the "United States of Denial" for continually refusing to admit the raging COVID-19 pandemic exists and doing practically nothing about it.

Cuomo said Trump by his inaction is facilitating the spread of COVID-19 across the U.S. He lashed out at Trump for making the pandemic a political issue when it's a health issue at its core. He also blasted Trump for exacerbating the pandemic by also refusing to exert any leadership to stem the national crisis.

"We're not the United States of Denial," asserted Cuomo on Monday. "We have never been a nation that's excelled because we refuse to admit the problem."

He again assailed Trump for continuing to deny the COVID-19 virus.

Cuomo pointed out Trump has denied the virus exists from day one. He ridiculed Trump for comparing COVID-19 to the flu, for saying the disease is going to be gone by Easter, and for telling the lie that the virus will miraculously disappear when it gets warm.

Cuomo also poured scorn on Trump's claim that if the U.S. didn't conduct more coronavirus tests, it wouldn't find more COVID-19 cases. Trump continues to make the false claim the growing outbreaks across the country are only due to increased testing. He once ordered administration officials to "slow the testing down, please."

Trump has admitted to a political motivation his fibs: He once said the more Americans that test positive for the coronavirus, the worse it makes the crisis look.

On the other hand, U.S. health experts have long said a robust and extensive testing system is necessary for the U.S. to fully return to normal.

"If we don't test, then we won't know. And if you don't know, then you have no problem," said Cuomo sarcastically. "That's a great way to go through life, isn't it?"

No more cancer tests. No more mammograms, and we don't want to know. No more prostate checks, and this will end prostate cancer. No more HIV tests and this will solve the AIDS problem, Cuomo said in mocking Trump's inanities.

"Not knowing does not mean you don't have a problem," declared Cuomo.

He asked Trump to do one simple thing: acknowledge to the American people that COVID exists and is a major problem. Cuomo said Trump can help curb the pandemic by simply acknowledging the pandemic exists and by wearing a face mask in public.
