There is little doubt that people have high hopes now that Disney has acquired 20th Century Fox. After all, this could mean that the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, which were Fox's properties, can now appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since it is also owned by Disney. So what can fans expect in the possible Fantastic Four reboot? There are speculations that former Breaking Bad actor Giancarlo Esposito has hinted at being a part of the upcoming project and that he could portray Doctor Doom.

It's no secret that fans are already hoping for a Fantastic Four MCU reboot. The possibility has already been confirmed but there haven't been any updates about the project just yet. There have been several celebrities expressing their interest in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing. However, there haven't been a lot of actors volunteering to play the villainous Doctor Doom.

Interestingly, Giancarlo Esposito may have changed that. The star of The Mandalorian told Entertainment Tonight that he is aware of the rumors suggesting he could join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and admitted that he is eager to be a part of the franchise. "Well there's been all these rumours about being with Marvel - I want to work with those guys. I put it out there all the time," Esposito said.

So who could Giancarlo Esposito portray if he does join the MCU? The Better Call Saul star made an interesting comment about this as he stated that he has worked with someone in the MCU.

"I haven't created any of those rumours, but I worked years ago with Louis D'Esposito, who's one of the guys at Marvel, back when he was doing Cotton Club and I was doing Cotton Club, he was the First AD. What they do is fantastic, and I want to do something enduring with them... I think the Marvel world would be, likely, the next step for me..." Esposito said.

It's an interesting comment that led fans to believe Giancarlo Esposito is hinting at a role in the Fantastic Four reboot and that he could play Doctor Doom. However, it is important to point out that the casting has not yet been confirmed so it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

Giancarlo Esposito will return as Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian Season 2, which will air on Disney+ this October. He will also appear in the second season of The Boys, which premieres on Amazon Prime on September 4.
