Two of the many Chrises in Hollywood are, allegedly, feuding over their past movie together and who is "best Chris." A tabloid claimed Chris Hemsworth is "at war" with Chris Pine. The entertainment news outlet alleged it all started when the two did a movie more than a decade ago.

According to New Idea, Hemsworth was upset that he was defeated by Pine in the battle for the "Best Chris in Hollywood" title. The outlet cited some supposed friends of Hemsworth as saying the Avengers actor was disappointed he was beaten by a "much shorter and less muscular" Chris.

Hemsworth was also, reportedly, displeased that the Wonder Woman: 1984 actor received praise from netizens for supporting a local bookstore. The Australia-based tabloid was referring to the viral photo of Pine a few weeks ago wherein he was photographed carrying a paper shopping bag from Skylight Books, an L.A.-based independent bookstore.

A source of New Idea added there was sort of an old rivalry between Hemsworth and Pine which started when they both appeared in the 2009 Star Trek reboot. The insider claimed that tension between the two started when the then-unknown Hemsworth landed the role in the movie and he was ignored by Pine.

Ironically, the two played the roles of father and son in the movie. Pine portrayed the lead character, James T. Kirk. Hemsworth, on the other hand, played George Kirk, James' father.

New Idea implied that Hemsworth had his revenge on Pine when the former landed a titular role in the Marvel movie, Thor. Apparently, when Hemsworth returned to film the Star Trek sequel, he was treated better on set because he was already a household name following the success of Thor

Gossip Cop pointed out that this alone would tell readers that New Idea fabricated a story. The outlet explained that Hemsworth did not return in the Star Trek sequel, which means the two actors never work together again. It can be recalled that, in the first installment of the J.J. Abrams' movie, George Kirk died aboard the USS Kelvin while battling the Romulans.

The Ghostbusters actor also did not reprise his role in the third installment, Star Trek Beyond. In an interview with Variety, Hemsworth explained that his reason for not returning was because he found the script underwhelming.

Gossip Cop also noted there was no reason for Hemsworth to be upset about the supposed rivalry on who's best Chris in Hollywood. The outlet pointed out that it was a useless comparison between the famous Chrises in the industry since it is an unofficial title that was bestowed by some social media users. Aside from Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pine, Hollywood also has Chris Evans and Chris Pratt.
