Unlike in previous playoffs series, LeBron James will continue using Instagram, Twitter, and FaceTime to stay connected with his family. The King had to leave his family behind to take part in the Orlando bubble games he is playing it different this time around - James will be online for the duration of the campaign.

In the past, the Lakers superstar will turn off his mobile devices to stay focus on the playoff battles and the NBA Finals. The tactic, for the most part, paid off as James collected three NBA rings and four MVP trophies so far. But COVID-19 will force him to take a new direction.

James said he is taking advantage of the available technology to play in the NBA and still perform his family duties.

"I won't be turning my phone off during this run. I can't afford to. I have to continue to check in with my family every single day," Yahoo Sports reported James as saying.

The NBA star is thankful that multiple platforms are at his disposal so he can continue the parenting part while doing his job. A special mention for James is the fact that he can FaceTime with his family back home anytime and the tool "is a beautiful thing to have, especially during a time like this."

James, however, admitted that being remotely or virtually available is nothing like the real thing. He will be staying in Orlando for more than three months and the Lakers star said he is aware of missing a lot of things.

He is happy though that his wife, Savannah, is doing a great job. She is the beast that takes control of the family and the rock that keeps the members together, James said.

Despite the notable adjustments and the unique playing environment in the Disney World Resort, ESPN said James will remain the same in terms of his dedication to the game and winning the title for the Lakers.

That King James is locked-in on the goal is nothing new, and that's according to long-time teammate J.R. Smith. Hired by Los Angeles for the bubble city competition, Smith said the James he played with at Cleveland is still the same with the Lakers.

There was the perception that James shifts to an entirely new persona in the postseason games but the NBA veteran said the James he knew will not be lost at all. Smith allowed though that James will more laser-focused on the battles ahead of him.

"He'll start reading more. He'll get off social media and he'll read. He will do that. But other than that, he's the same person," Smith said.

One thing is sure, however, for James and that is to work hard and win the title, which he knew is an opportunity that will not be readily available to him in the few years to come.
