Queen Elizabeth II left Buckingham Palace in mid-March to self-isolate in Windsor Castle. Her husband did the same thing when he left Sandringham to join the British Monarch.

The royal couple has since observed the lockdown measures of the United Kingdom. While the Queen went out of her isolation thrice since then, the 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh only left once for Princess Beatrice's wedding.

Amid the lockdown, reports said that Queen Elizabeth II has continued to do her royal duties and responsibilities with the help of various online platforms. Although some of the much younger British Royals have already made public appearances for their respective royal engagements, the case is not the same for the British Monarch. In fact, royal commentators believe that she may never return to Buckingham Palace, ever, according to the Daily Express.

Speaking to True Royalty TV, Kate Thornton, reportedly, shared that recent rumors are claiming that the Queen can never return to the Palace. In line with these rumors, there are also speculations that Prince William and Kate Middleton will, instead, relocate there, the royal commentator added.

The Sun's executive editor, Dan Wootton, echoed Thornton's assertions. He, reportedly, said that it is "sad" that Queen Elizabeth II could no longer go back to Buckingham Palace.

He asserted that this narrative is "particularly devastating" for the British Monarch. As explained, this is because the things that she, reportedly, loves to do "have been taken away from her."

In the end, however, it is "highly likely" that the Queen will no longer move back to Buckingham Palace, Wootton said.

Despite the experts' certainty about the matter, royal author Tom Quinn, reportedly, "disagreed" that this saddens Queen Elizabeth II. As stated, he believes that the British Monarch is "relieved." She is "so elderly" and it is hard to believe that she wants to continue with her busy schedule, the author contended.

Following the rumors, there are also claims that Prince Charles might already succeed his mother. But, in opposition to these speculations, Quinn, reportedly, "dismissed" these things concerning Queen Elizabeth II's abdication.

He, then, explained that the Queen is a "traditionalist." So, she will keep on going, Quinn stated.

The rumors about her not returning to Buckingham Palace further strengthened its stance after the British Monarch, reportedly, made a "confession" in her most recent online engagement. In a separate report from the Daily Express, the Queen stated that she hopes to see Miriam Escofet's painting of her "in real life."

She, then, shared her happiness having the "chance" to see it at the moment. Following her statements, many have become certain that she might no longer leave Windsor Castle or Balmoral even after the pandemic.
