Tabloids continue to insist that Katie Holmes and Justin Theroux are dating. A tabloid claimed this week that Theroux's ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, already gave her blessing to him.
According to New Idea, Theroux and Holmes have been hanging out since March, which was a little bit late compared to other tabloids' claim that it started in November 2019. New Idea cited some friends of the actress as saying the supposed couple had visited Holmes' favorite bookstore and hung out at each other's homes in New York City.
The source claimed the Dawson's Creek actress and Theroux's relationship is getting serious as Jennifer Aniston already gave her blessing to her ex. It added that The Leftovers actor had also met Holmes' daughter, Suri Cruise.
Back in November 2019, Star claimed a different story. It reported that Katie Holmes and Justin Theroux were secretly dating but Aniston was allegedly hurt when she found out about the romance from the press instead of from her ex-husband.
It added Katie's ex-husband, Tom Cruise, was "humiliated" that his ex-wife would date his supposed friend Theroux. Apparently, the supposed lovers had "top-secret meetups" at a New York City restaurant.
Gossip Cop debunked the claims about Holmes dating Theroux then and now. It also raised more doubts about the supposed romance because of the latest New Idea story.
The publication pointed out that Theroux doesn't need to get Aniston's blessing if he wants to date someone. The Friends actress and Justin were already divorced since 2017 and either of them needs to ask for each other's blessings whenever they have to decide on matters in their personal lives.
Though Jen and Justin separated amicable and still good friends up to this date, there is still no reason for Theroux to ask for Jen's blessing about who he can date. Aniston also doesn't need to do the same for the actor.
Gossip Cop added that Katie Holmes and Justin Theroux have been the subject of dating rumors in tabloids since they both broke up from their respective lovers: Theroux from Aniston and Holmes from Jamie Foxx. Aside from Theroux, the Batman Begins actress was also linked to Bradley Cooper.
She was also rumored to have rekindled romance with ex-boyfriend and former Dawson's Creek co-star Chris Klein. Both rumors were denied by Holmes' rep.
As for Theroux, he was reportedly getting close to Aniston's close pal, Emma Stone. The actor was, also, linked to Angelina Jolie.
