BTS is rich enough to buy anything they need and want. In fact, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are multi-millionaires as a group and as individuals despite only being in their 20s.
But, just because they are extremely wealthy, that does not mean that they don’t like receiving gifts anymore. Jin even, previously, shared that he still enjoys getting free stuff even though he’s rich and can afford to buy things from his own pocket.
As for V, he’s more of a giver than a receiver — but with a twist. The “Sweet Night” singer loves giving gifts to his members. While that seems to be sweet, the other boys reveal the real reason why the BTS star is extra generous to them.
V gifts his members with things that he, previously, owned. Once he feels that he doesn’t need some of his stuff anymore, he would give them to the other boys instead of throwing them away.
During BTS’s anniversary broadcast in 2017, Jin shared that he was really happy that V gave him a figurine. But, then, the “Moon” singer revealed that the figurine was a pre-owned item by V. Luckily, Jin said that it was a figurine that he wanted. So, it was a win-win situation for them.
V went on to explain that when he cleans his room, he prefers to “gift” the things that he no longer needs to his members, especially to Jin, RM, and Jimin. The boys shared that V’s “gifts” just suddenly appear in their rooms. Jin added that he sometimes walks into his room, and some items from V were already waiting for him on his bed.
“Honestly, when I find his stuff on my bed, I go ‘Why is this on my bed?’ So I went to V later, and he said 'It's for you.' And I found more stuff on my bed, so I thought ‘This guy threw away his stuff at me again,” Jin recalled. (Watch the clips here and here).
While ARMYs would do anything to get V’s unwanted stuff, the other boys were not too pleased. Jimin even told him to stop bringing things to his room. (Watch the clip here).
V never explained why he only chose Jin, RM, and Jimin as the receiver of his "gifts," but Suga, J-Hope, and Jungkook’s personalities may have affected a huge part of his decision making. Suga is someone who is very straightforward and would easily tell V to get his “gifts” out of his room as soon as possible.
As for J-Hope and Jungkook, they are the tidiest members of BTS. Their rooms are probably immaculate that V knows they would not appreciate it if he’ll add his surprise “gifts” to their pristine sanctuary.
