It has been five years since Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale parted ways due to the latter's alleged affair with their nanny, Mindy Mann. However, it wasn't the only issue that made their romance tense. Take a look back to the time Blake Shelton's partner and her then-husband's 13-year relationship was ruined by all the issues and cheating allegations thrown against him.

According to Mirror Online, Rossdale had a three-year affair with Mann, which, reportedly, took place when Gwen was pregnant with their youngest child, Apollo. Their relationship started to be tensed when a photo showed the Bush frontman's hand on the au pair's behind while on a hike in 2012 emerged.

In February 2015, Us Weekly reported Stefani confirmed her suspicions when she saw the evidence on the family's iPad, which was linked to the rhythm guitarist's phone. Another nanny, reportedly, found nude photos and explicit messages, in which their plan to meet to have sex was recorded, and told the No Doubt frontwoman about it.

However, it wasn't the first storm that shook Stefani and Rossdale's relationship since they tied the knot in 2002. A DNA test revealed the 54-year-old singer-songwriter was the father of Daisy Lowe after he had a fling with the married fashion designer Pearl Lowe in the late 1980s.

The British-Jamaican pop singer Marilyn, also, claimed he had a five-year romance with Rossdale before the latter met Stefani. He even told Mirror that the father-of-four was the love of his life.

Marilyn first exposed their affair in his 1995 biography, which Rossdale vehemently denied. However, the occasional actor seemed to admit the relationship in 2014, describing it as "one-time experimentation."

But, for Marilyn, it was more than that. Their split made him cry every day for ten years. He didn't even kiss anyone else since then because of that.

In an interview with Details magazine in 2010, Rossdale explained he denied Marilyn's revelation due to "fear." At the time, Bush was only starting so he didn't want to be part of the issue, calling him to feel like a "cheap shot."

He didn't want to get involved with it and appear closed about it. The Voice UK judge acknowledged it was something he didn't talk about because it had always been "in the glare of a tabloid world." He considered it one of "those things," so he simply said, "move on."

Meanwhile, in a talk with The Insider, Marilyn revealed it appeared people wanted him to blame for the split of Rossdale and Stefani. He insisted it wasn't true, although he was also not surprised by the ex-couple's divorce announcement.
