Prince Harry, reportedly, has unresolved anger issues over the death of his mother, Princess Diana, and the comparisons made of him and his older brother, Prince William. Royal reporter Duncan Larcombe believes that Prince Harry was driven to control his own life due to these anger issues.

Speaking with OK! Magazine, Larcombe said that Prince Harry was "absolutely furious" following the 2008 inquest into Princess Diana's death. The Duke of Sussex, allegedly, didn't like that the advisors of his father, Prince Charles, had to publish a statement but Larcombe didn't detail the statement he was referring to.

The Guardian reported that the inquest took 22 hours, where a jury determined Princess Dian was unlawfully killed by a combination of factors: the reckless driving of the chauffeur and the deluge of paparazzi chasing the princess and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed. The jury ruled the death as manslaughter.

Following the verdict, Prince William and Prince Harry issued a press statement saying that they agree with the jury's call. Larcombe said that he met Prince Harry for a drink after the inquest. The reporter said the Duke of Sussex had signs of anger and frustration over having no control of what he had to say to the public.

He also added that Prince Harry could not shake the feeling of being different from Prince William. The Duke of Sussex apparently told him that he doesn't like how the public sometimes refer to him as a loose cannon while his older brother is the "sensible" son.

This difference is recently highlighted in the upcoming book Finding Freedom, which charts Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal exit. Larcombe said that there's an entry in the biography describing Prince William as "calm and rational" as he discussed Prince Harry's decision to marry his then-girlfriend, Meghan, the Hollywood actress.

Larcombe also said that he's sure this comparison from the book will, once again, annoy Prince Harry. There have been times when the younger brother actually gives the sensible advice to Prince William.

The reporter said that no one told Prince Harry his brother is only looking out for his best interest and welfare. As the future king, Prince William was in the right place to guide Prince Harry but he took his brother's intention as an attack against Meghan.

Prince William and Prince Harry's strained relationship was, reportedly, on the mend during this COVID-19 crisis. They have been talking over the phone and video conferencing to each other. Insiders, however, believe that the release of Finding Freedom could bring new conflicts, if not reignite old wounds.
