Queen Elizabeth is still an influential woman despite her age. At 94, the monarch hasn't slowed down and continues to inspire other women.

Even when Queen Elizabeth remained in isolation due to the coronavirus crisis for the last five months, she still creates a lasting impact. This is why British Vogue named her as one of 25 influential women shaping 2020.

The Queen is the only royal in the list. British Vogue picked her because of her message of comfort in a televised speech last April 5.

The magazine's editors took note of how Queen Elizabeth sent out a pitch-perfect message to the U.K. and the world with that rare TV appearance. As the world was crippled with lockdowns due to the threats of the virus, the monarch ended her message with an assurance that "we will meet again."

According to British Vogue, the Queen delivered solace and comfort when it was needed. She eased the public's fear and grief over the deaths and isolations during the pandemic.

This is the third year British Vogue came out with the list of influential women. In 2019, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, guest-edited the special issue where she picked 15 significant ladies.

Also included in this year's list are celebrities like Florence Pugh and Rihanna, Black Lives Matter proponents Liza Bilal and Naomi Smith, Prof Sarah Gilbert, who is breaking ground in developing the coronavirus vaccine, and Emily Maitlis, the BBC journalist who interviewed Prince Andrew about his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace announced that as a sensible precaution, Queen Elizabeth is not attending her first church service in Balmoral this Sunday. The monarch arrived in her Scotland estate on Tuesday and will stay in her summer home with her husband, Prince Philip, until October.

While she normally goes to a nearby church for Sunday worships, she has decided to skip this tradition to protect herself from a virus infection. Church services at Crathie Kirk are usually attended by the public. The palace said alternative plans for the Queen to hear Sunday worship will not be divulged in public.

The Queen's Balmoral stay is under a strict safety protocol. Even members of the royal family are expected to observe social distancing and avoid socializing with the monarch at close range. They have been encouraged to meet with Queen Elizabeth for outdoor activities only, if they plan to spend a few summer days in Balmoral.
