Better Call Saul season 6 hasn't started filming at the moment due to the current health crisis. There are a lot of things to be considered first, including the safety of everyone on set. But, despite the delay, we could expect a lot of big stories and revelations in the upcoming installment, which serves as the series finale.

Better Call Saul season 6 needs to resolve a lot of things, most especially the endgame of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), who becomes Cinnabon man Gene Takocvic in the flash-forwards. It remains unclear whether or not this character, who also carries the Saul Goodman persona, will have a happy ending.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Peter Gould teases a few clues about what's coming in the series finale -- but in the form of questions. He said that anyone who watches the series thinks where this all is going and what Jimmy really deserves.

The main question here is not just about "what's going to happen to him," but more of "what would be a deserving end to him." Gould hinted at what would be the fitting ending for Jimmy and for the series: whether he deserves death or love.

While death seems to be an obvious ending for everybody, the executive producer said they won't leave Jimmy in this kind of situation. Perhaps, we could see another way where he could find redemption and forgiveness after all the things he's done.

Meanwhile, another big question in Better Call Saul season 6 is: where is Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) when Saul dealt with Jesse (Aaron Paul) and Walt (Bryan Cranston)? There's a lot of mystery where this character ends up in the future, with some speculating she might be dead.

There's huge concern when it comes to Kim, especially since she went on the dark path in season 5. While it's yet to be seen if she's really dead, there are reasons to be worried about her. For instance, Gene never mentioned her in the future, hinting that something bad happened to her.

In another interview with Deadline, Gould discussed what's next for Kim in Better Call Saul season 6. The executive producer said being with Jimmy has shown Kim some sides she never knew before or something that becomes more vivid to her. Gould added that he's a little bit worried about her.

The upcoming installment could give viewers more answers as to why Kim wasn't present in the Breaking Bad timeline. Some were hoping that she is not dead and just moved to another place, where she reunited with Jimmy in the end.

Better Call Saul season 6 is expected to premiere at some point in 2021 on AMC.
