JYP Entertainment filed a total of 37 legal complaints against TWICE's malicious commenters to stop these individuals from posting derogatory statements against the girl group.

According to a report by All Kpop, JYP filed its first set of legal complaints last June and added more charges this month.

The label said that, since June, they have been diligently investigating cases of malicious comments against TWICE and its members. They have, also, been collecting evidence of damaging rumors and fake news posted against TWICE.

In their official statement, they reported that they have filed a total of 37 legal complaints until August. This includes online communities and blogs that contain inappropriate content that seek to damage TWICE's reputation.

While TWICE is one of the biggest girl groups in the world, the members are no strangers to hate comments from anti-fans, who unabashedly post rude comments and derogatory statements on news articles and community threads.

These individuals have, also, posted comments against the members' mental health, dating rumors, and other fake news about the members.

Members of ONCE, TWICE's official fandom, have repeatedly called on JYP Entertainment to take a hardline approach against malicious commenters and bashers by filing legal charges against them.

Last year, it can be recalled that TWICE's Sana had to take a break for several months because of anxiety brought on by the pressures of stardom. Jihyo almost broke down from the incessant comments and unfounded rumors.

Apart from the malicious comments, TWICE members have, also, been victims of stalking.

Nayeon was the biggest victim of stalking when a German flew to Korea last year to aggressively get in touch with her. The stalker even took to social media to air out his frustrations at JYP for keeping him apart from Nayeon while he was in the country. The most alarming incident happened when the stalker was able to board the same plane as TWICE and attempted to reach Nayeon's seat. Before he left Korea, the same stalker also posted Chayeoung's private number on social media.

During a live broadcast, TWICE members talked about their struggles with sasaengs and their lack of privacy. They appealed to fans to interact with them through regular channels like fan meetings and concerts instead, Soompi reported .
