It would have been Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's sixth wedding anniversary and the latter, allegedly, planned it to be "happy and joyful" for their six children. Despite their longstanding divorce case, the 45-year-old actress still wanted to celebrate the event, seeing its importance for their kids.

Jolie wanted to make the day memorable for Maddox, 19, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12. A source told HollywoodLife she would go out of her way to make their anniversary "extra fun" for the kids, although without Pitt.

It was crucial for the Maleficent star to see her children happy. She wanted them not to think of what would have been their parents' anniversary celebration. Last year, she took them to Disney to take their minds off from the event.

But, as the COVID-19 pandemic still affects almost every part of the world, they would be mostly staying at home. Jolie would surely make the event fun, though. The insider revealed there would be games, a barbecue party, and lots of treats.

The tipster continued the famed humanitarian was very concerned to make it a "happy and joyful" day for her family. It had been known Jolie had a very close bond with her six children.

Instead of remembering her past relationship with Pitt, she would be focusing instead on their brood. The source continued she was "very tuned into them and their needs." She would rather have fun with the kids instead of wallowing.

Despite their tumultuous divorce, Jolie is now in a good place. Her kids brought her "so much joy." So, by just having them all together at home, it was already "very special for her."

After their long custody battle, they finally reached a temporary custody agreement in June 2018. According to Us Weekly, the court decided that it would be harmful to the children if they did not have a relationship with their father.

The court, also, determined that the kids would be safe with Pitt. However, as Maddox was of age, he was free to choose if he would stay with his mom or dad.

Pitt received physical custody of the kids during some parts of the summer. He had the chance to spend time with the children, but there should be a psychologist present as a requirement.

In November 2018, Jolie and Pitt reached a new agreement, where they would have "joint physical and legal custody" of their kids. The monitored visits ended, and the children began to have overnight stays with their dad.
