Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly pouring their focus on producing in Hollywood and have put their speaking engagements "on hold," claims a royal expert.
Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl revealed via Vanity Fair that Prince Harry and Meghan are setting aside their plans to be resource speakers since this market isn't in demand in the current climate. Instead, the Sussex pair is apparently "exploring other avenues" to make money and they are trying to get their production off the ground.
Nicholl said that she sees the couple making a TV series with Meghan in front of the cameras in the near future. The work, however, won't be related to acting. Instead, it will feature the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in campaigns that support their advocacies, such as women's rights and women's empowerment, as well as the Black Lives Matter movement.
The royal expert said that Prince Harry and Meghan are trying to find ways to make money since their speaking engagements have dried up amid the pandemic. Travel and social gatherings are still risky, while virtual engagements also have its limitations.
This news comes as Daily Mirror revealed Prince Harry and Meghan pitched a TV show to some Hollywood bigwigs, including NBC. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex apparently plan to develop a series delving on feminism or inequality, which will likely be a documentary.
According to an insider, Prince Harry and Meghan would like to have a show that will empower women and the youth. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also plan to face the camera but it will be a show about their advocacies and not the personalities.
Prince Harry is also reportedly keen on doing a TV series as it will help get his creative juices flowing. The Duke of Sussex apparently always had this creative streak in him and having Meghan in his life inspired him to finally tackle something he only dreamed of doing.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly changed the name of their charity to MWX Foundation. A paperwork revealed that the Sussexes made this switch on Aug. 5 but there are no details on their initial plan to use Archewell in place of Sussex Royal.
Allegedly, MWX is short for Markle and Windsor, while Archewell is based on the name of their son, Archie Harrison. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that they plan to launch their new foundation in early 2021, scrapping the original April debut.
