Jessica Mulroney is back on Instagram and posting photos again. On Thursday, the stylist and TV personality shared a throwback photo from Meghan Markle's 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.
The 40-year-old Canadian TV star, reportedly, shared an image of her twin sons, Brian and John, who were page boys at the royal wedding. According to Page Six, the photo was of her boys walking with Meghan down the aisle.
Mulroney has since switched her Instagram account to private but she, apparently, wrote in the caption that the captured moment was "pure joy." It was, allegedly, shared to downplay rumors that Mulroney's friendship with Meghan is over.
A source told Page Six, in June, that Mulroney has been "on the outs" with her friendship with Meghan. The insider didn't say what the tipping point was for the Duchess of Sussex to end their decade-long friendship.
But, that same month, Mulroney was smack in the middle of a controversy when an Instagram influencer, Sasha Exeter, exposed their private conversations. Apparently, Mulroney took offense over one of Exeter's generic call to action and sent threats to Exeter, thinking it was specific to her.
The influencer decided to reveal what Mulroney told her, via a video message on her Instagram. Exeter, who is Black, said that Mulroney threatened her livelihood and is "very aware" of her power, privilege and wealth because of the color of her skin.
After the revelation, Mulroney publicly apologized and stated that she's taking a break from social media. The stylist said that she will use her time in hiatus to reflect on what happened, while she lost her ties with brands and TV shows.
Rumors, also, surfaced that Meghan distanced herself because she was offended about Mulroney's treatment towards Exeter. According to Entertainment Tonight, the source, also, said that people close to the Duchess of Sussex expressed their concerns over Mulroney. There were suggestiosn that she might have profited from her friendship with Meghan.
Nearly two months later, Mulroney emerged from her hiatus with an indication that she has a project for marginalized communities. This was what might have kept her busy while spending time away from social media.
Details to Mulroney's new initiative are still not available. However, the TV stylist, apparently, posted a call on her Instagram stories to donate unused gadgets. It's possible that Meghan's former best friend plans to support children who might need educational tools during this pandemic crisis and there's no hint of Meghan getting involved.
