Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their firstborn, Archie, last year. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s priorities quickly shifted after the arrival of their son. The couple even decided to completely avoid the spotlight to protect Archie by announcing back in January that they were quitting royal life.

Just like most fathers, Prince Harry would grab any opportunity to talk about his son. So when he was asked about his new life in the United States in a recent video call, he didn't only share about his moments with Archie, he even let slip an adorable nickname that he calls him.

"Our little man is our number one priority, but then our work after that is the second priority and we’re just doing everything we can to do our part to make the world a better place,” Prince Harry said, after sharing that he wished to play rugby with Archie in their huge garden space.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want nothing but the best for their “little man.” They had a love-hate relationship with the media for quite a long time, and they don’t want Archie to experience that. As a result, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their senior royal roles to have a “peaceful life” outside the royal family.

A previous report said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “craving a smaller community” after quitting royal life. But just because they are no longer working royals, that does not mean that they are not part of the Royal Family anymore. In fact, a previous report revealed that Archie will still be a prince whether the couple likes it or not.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wish to raise Archie as a private citizen. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex registered their son as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor even though the little boy was entitled to take his father’s subsidiary title, the Earl of Dumbarton.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are taking the role of modern royals to the next level. While Prince William and Kate Middleton are also bending some of the royal protocols, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took it up a notch and wanted to do things their way.

Royal commentator Angela Levin previously said that Queen Elizabeth had been “very generous” to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Even though Her Majesty “has kept the door open” for them, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could not have it “both ways.”

The royal expert also shared that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “still hark back about the most minute grievances.” Instead of moving forward, he said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex seem to focus on the negative things.
