Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, recently, moved into their new £11.2million ($14.7million) home in California, according to reports. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, reportedly, also, agreed to pay £32,000 ($43,000) per month of mortgage for the next 30 years.

Prince Harry’s net worth is $40 million, which is an accumulation from the trust left to him by the late Princess Diana and an inheritance from the Queen Mother. The Duke of Sussex's former salary as a captain in the British army is also added to his wealth.

Meghan Markle, on the other hand, has a $5 million net worth. The Duchess of Sussex had already established her net worth way before she met Prince Harry. She was being paid $450,000 a year for her role in the American drama series Suits and was earning around $80,000 a year from sponsorship deals.

Despite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle being multi-millionaires, paying $43,000 a month for three decades is definitely not easy. Royal insiders Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito talked about how Duke and Duchess of Sussex were exploring new "money-making ventures" to afford their lavish lifestyle.

"Harry and Meghan have been quietly shopping a TV project idea to different media companies. In June, the pair met with NBC Universal. They have already collaborated with Apple, Disney, Netflix - every major streaming service,” Rachel Bowie said.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their senior royal roles and relocated to the U.S., it was heavily speculated that they would be joining the Hollywood scene. The Duchess of Sussex was an actress before marrying the younger son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana. So, it makes a lot of sense that the couple would be heading towards the entertainment industry for their new life.

Before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their withdrawal, the former actress gave everyone a taste of their possible future job by lending her voice to a Disney documentary titled Elephant back in August last year. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, also, announced the name of their new foundation Archewell in April, noting that they were inspired by the word "Arche" for their new foundation, which is also the name of their son.

Unfortunately for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, their L.A. plans came to a screeching halt due to the coronavirus outbreak. The global health crisis led to an implemented lockdown, which left the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with no choice but to follow the emergency protocol instead of pursuing their goals in the US.
