Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making a fresh start in the U.S. after they officially stepped down from their senior royal roles at the end of March. Despite their shocking exit, Queen Elizabeth released a statement saying that she and the Royal Family members support the couple’s decision.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been heavily speculated to be joining the Hollywood scene for their new lives outside the Royal Family. Recently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved into their new multimillion-dollar home in Montecito, California.

Royal expert Marlene Koenig called Prince Harry’s decision to move to the U.S. as “crazy.” She noted that the Duke of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and Archie would have been more safe living in Frogmore Cottage than in Los Angeles.

Marlene Koenig said that the Sussexes "would have far more privacy living in Frogmore Cottage behind the fences at Windsor Great Park than they will ever have living in a gated community in LA." She, then, added that "perhaps this is another stop before they make a final decision of where they want to set up home but I think LA is crazy."

The royal expert, also, pointed out that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are becoming celebrities than royals. Despite the backlash, the Duke of Sussex has insisted that he’s loving life in the U.S.

In fact, an earlier report claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have already been planning their big move a long time ago. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex initially wanted to split their time between the U.K. and the U.S. However, Queen Elizabeth, reportedly, suggested they should spend the majority of their time away from Britain after their royal exit.

But ,even before Queen Elizabeth’s suggestion, previous sources already believed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would not stay in the U.K. “More and more friends are worried that they’ll just get on a plane and live in LA and never come back,” an insider said in 2018.

A source in L.A. claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were already looking for a place “six to nine months” before the interview was made. Another tipster shared that the couple’s idea was to have a second home in America, where they can get away to during the holidays. Insiders, also, purported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were checking out some houses in Calabasas earlier this year.
