Meghan Markle and Prince Harry briefly stayed in Canada before moving to Los Angeles. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, then, temporarily stayed at Tyler Perry’s mansion and, recently, moved into their new multimillion-dollar home in Montecito, California.

Now, a new report reveals that Meghan Markle’s mom Doria Ragland is moving into the couple’s new home. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are, reportedly, renovating their guesthouse for Doria.

“They’re converting one of the guesthouses into a home for Doria, who plans to split her time between L.A. and Montecito,” the source said.

Doria Ragland had been helping the Duke and Duchess of Sussex out with taking care of Archie, and it seems like she is set to be a full-time grandmother. Prince Harry, reportedly, has a close bond with Meghan Markle’s mom. So, having her around was an easy choice.

It was previously reported that Meghan Markle was not too happy that their move to Los Angeles was not going well as planned. An insider said that the Duchess of Sussex was “heartbroken” that the coronavirus outbreak ruined her L.A. move plans to be closer to Doria Ragland.

Meghan Markle’s mother lives just outside Los Angeles. However, the Duchess of Sussex couldn’t spend time with her mom during the pandemic due to the implemented lockdown. Even though the former actress was back to her home city, she was allegedly having a “lonely time.”

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry officially stepped down from their senior royal roles on March 31. That said, the couple is not tied to their royal duties anymore, which means that they can focus more on things that they want to do.

According to a royal author, Meghan Markle will balance working and being a mother after quitting royal life. Leslie Carroll said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will have more time with Archie as they start their new life in Los Angeles.

It appeared that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had enough of the U.K. media that led them to decide to withdraw from their senior royal roles to have a private life. However, actress Lindsay Lohan and English television personality Sharon Osbourne have, previously, warned the couple about living in Los Angeles.

If Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are avoiding public scrutiny by leaving the U.K., Osbourne noted that things will not get better in La-La Land.
