Prince Harry was the official third wheel of Prince William and Kate Middleton when he was still single. While many believe that three is a crowd, the trio bonded really well.
However, things began to change when Prince Harry married Meghan Markle in 2018. Royal fans have noticed that the brothers are less close than before. The Duke of Sussex finally addressed all the speculations last year, noting that he and his older brother are “on different paths."
Despite Prince Harry’s revelation, people are still hoping for a “Royal Trio” reunion — and it was supposed to happen. Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three young children arrived in Balmoral Castle last week, where they have been spending time with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip for the first time in months.
Prince Harry was supposed to go with his family as well. Unfortunately, the coronavirus outbreak has canceled his plans as traveling abroad is difficult due to the pandemic. The Duke of Sussex is currently living in the U.S. with Meghan Markle and their son Archie after they officially stepped down from their senior royal roles at the end of March.
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry are said to have a great relationship even before she joined the Royal Family. After Prince William and the beautiful brunette tied the knot in 2011, the younger prince shared that he was happy to have Kate in the family as she’s like the big sister he never had.
Prince Harry also hinted in 2018 how much he respects his sister-in-law by asking for her approval before marrying Meghan Markle. He wanted Kate Middleton to meet the former actress, so she would know her before they tie the knot.
When Prince Harry got engaged to Meghan Markle in 2017, the fun bickering between the brothers continued. Prince William and the Duke of Sussex had always been very relatable when it comes to their brotherly love for each other.
Since Prince Harry always pops over Prince William and Kate Middleton’s home, the Duke of Cambridge joked that the engagement of his brother might finally stop him from stealing their food. “I hope [the engagement] means he stays out of my fridge, it will stop him scrounging off all my food, as he’s done over the last few years,” the future kind said.
Royal fans have definitely missed Prince William, Prince Harry, and Kate Middleton’s relationship, and their reunion would have been a great treat to their supporters.
