Angelina Jolie's health remains to be a hot topic in a lot of tabloid stories. Allegedly, she is starving herself so that Brad Pitt will feel sorry for her and give in to her demands amid the latest issue in their divorce proceedings. Is there any truth about it?

National Enquirer claimed Jolie's weight is now down to 99 pounds. She is said to be "intentionally" not eating to force Pitt to give in to her "child custody demands."

The publication noted the 45-year-old actress refuses to eat in her "self-imposed pity party" and only opts for a handful of "grains and nuts." This way, her former husband may cave in when he sees how their child custody battle badly affects her health.

An alleged nutrition expert said Jolie's supposed body weight is "dangerously low." With the tremendous amount of weight she has lost, it may affect her immune system, increasing her chances of catching COVID-19.

Aside from their legal battle, the tabloid also noted the Maleficent star is depressed after seeing Pitt with a new girl, the German model Nicole Poturalski. Anyhow, the publication admitted its so-called nutrition expert doesn't treat Jolie's condition.

Gossip Cop debunked the claim, seeing all the wrongful assertions of the tabloid. First, its nutritionist is not qualified to talk about someone's health without thoroughly looking into the patient's real condition.

The article also used an old photo of a skinny-looking Jolie from the premiere of First They Killed My Father in 2017. The snap is already three years old, so linking an outdated photograph to a current story only makes it an "unreliable" story.

Also, the report about Jolie's hunger strike is not true at all. Her weight is just frequently attacked for being thin. There is no way she will starve herself or develop an eating disorder due to her legal battle with Pitt.

Surely, if there's something wrong with Jolie's health, she will be open to the public. She has repeatedly proven that she's not afraid to talk about her personal health issues to educate others, E! News reported.

The award-winning actress, too, bravely talks about important issues that are not often discussed to make others informed. If there's a health issue she has faced, it was undergoing a preventive double mastectomy in 2013.

At the time, she wrote an op-ed for The New York Times to reveal her health journey after her doctors told her she carried a "faulty gene" that put her to the risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. As her chances of getting breast cancer were at 87% and ovarian cancer at 50%, she decided to undergo the procedure.
