Jamie Dutton's (Wes Bentley) storyline is one of the most interesting parts of the upcoming Yellowstoneseason 4. He's been through a lot in the previous installment after discovering a secret that completely changed his life. Now, it's interesting to see where the character is heading moving forward.
Yellowstone season 4 could explore more of Jamie's life. He found out that he is adopted and John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is not his biological father. This huge revelation has impacted him in a big way, and it might cause him to become the new villain as the story progresses.
The most intriguing part, for now, is whether or not Jamie is responsible for what happened to John, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), and Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) in the season 3 finale. The lives of these three are on the line when the new season kicks off and it remains to be seen who's behind the attacks.
Some speculated that Jamie planned all of these, considering what he's gone through as of late. But then, he values his family and it's unlikely that he's capable of hurting then. We could learn more about what he's really striving for in the upcoming installment.
In addition, Jamie has a significant role in whatever happens to the future of the ranch. He cares about it and he wouldn't want to destroy the entire legacy. It's yet to be seen what else he can do in order to save the land from the people who are after it.
As for what else we can expect with the character, Yellowstone season 4 could explore more of Jamie's relationship with his biological father. We've seen him at the end of the previous installment and his appearance may have something to do with the huge cliffhanger.
It's interesting to see how his arrival could change Jamie's perspective in life, especially since this person isn't the best overall influence in the world. He is someone who could manipulate Jamie and convince him to do unexpected things.
Meanwhile, Yellowstone season 4 is in production in Montana at the moment. Cast and crew were able to start working immediately despite the current global health crisis. But then, some health guidelines and protocols are still needed to be followed to ensure the safety of everyone.
Nothing is confirmed when it comes to its official release date, as well. Yet, the new season is not expected to arrive this 2020. Hence, we could expect new episodes of Yellowstone season 4 coming at some point in 2021 on Paramount Network.
