Princess Eugenie, first cousin to Prince William and Harry, announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Jack Brooksbank after two years of marriage.

The royal shared her good news in a post on Instagram. Buckingham Palace also confirmed that the princess and her husband will become parents and welcome their baby in Spring 2021, which means that Eugenie is now on her second trimester.

Over the summer, Princess Eugenie sparked pregnancy rumors after she was photographed arriving in Balmoral with an obvious baby belly. Royal fans are elated over the stork date since the Brooksbank pair has been a together for nearly a decade before exchanging vows in October 2018.

Prince William and Kate Middleton expressed their happiness for Eugenie by liking their baby post hours after the social media announcement. Prince Charles and Camilla Parke-Bowles, as well as Princess Beatrice's better half, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, also reacted to the baby news.

Sources disclosed to People that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have privately shared in their cousin's joy all the way from the United States. Princess Eugenie has always been close to Harry because they share similar traits.

According to Finding Freedom authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, Eugenie and Harry treat each other beyond cousins. They are apparently each other's best friend and confidante.

Both Harry and Eugenie are the second child in their respective royal families. They are also considered the fun one compared to their older siblings.

Source said that Harry has implicit trust in Eugenie. He comes to her for advice because the Duke of Sussex sees her as someone wise beyond her years.

The baby news comes as the York family also welcomed Princess Beatrice's new husband. Beatrice and Edo married in small-scale ceremony on July 17, at the height of the coronavirus lockdown. The pair is raising Beatrice's four-year-old stepson, Wolfie, Edo's only son from a previous relationship.

Meanwhile, no one is more excited about the coming baby than Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York. She said in a statement that she is thrilled for her daughter and son-in-law and she cannot wait to see the York baby.

Eugenie's dad, Prince Andrew, on the other hand, wasn't able to publicly greet his daughter. The Duke of York has been shunning the public eye since he stepped back from his royal duties in November.
