More than six months have already passed since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the British Royal Family. But, as they continue to live their new lives in the United States, several individuals have kept wondering when they will return to the United Kingdom.

Since the early days of their exit, the talks about their return have already become apparent. While many believe that it will take more time before they fly back, several sources claimed that they will likely return later this year as they are "desperate," according to the Daily Express.

The recent updates about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's possible return emerged as the Christmas season fastly approaches. A source previously revealed that the Duke and Duchess wanted Archie Harrison to meet Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip personally.

These claims have since remained unconfirmed. But, several other royal commentators and experts believe that they will, instead, fly back to the royals' home country in early 2021.

Reports noted that the end of the couple's Megxit review will be in the spring of next year. In recalling the events of Megxit, Queen Elizabeth placed the Sussex couple under a 12-month review upon their official exit.

Omid Scobie had a different thought about their return, according to Tatler. In his interview with Royal Central, he claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will return to the United Kingdom once the restrictions of the pandemic ease completely.

He added that the former working royals will resume their charity work, as well as their responsibilities and duties to their royal patronages. He argued, however, that the Sussex couple has already started to work on some of it, despite them being on "British soil."

Scobie does not believe, though, that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will return to join the British Monarchy as working royals. He attested that they are in a "good place" right now, and are much more "forward-focused."

While recent sources claimed that Meghan and Harry are "desperate" and "eager" to return to the United Kingdom, some reports highlighted the Duchess of Sussex's reaction upon returning to her home country. She repeatedly revealed her happiness upon returning home to Los Angeles.

During her interview with Gloria Steinem, she said that she is happy "for so many reasons." She shared the same thought in her other online engagements, adding that it feels "good."

Following her statements, many royal commentators and experts concluded that the former actress no longer has any plans to return to her royal lifestyle.
