The British public has spoken, and they do not seemingly admire Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as much as they do like Prince William and Kate Middleton, according to the Daily Express. Following all the controversies that have emerged surrounding the Sussex couple, reports concluded that the drama they have since sparked might likely be the reason why they fell from YouGov's recent poll.

Earlier this year, YouGov, a London-based data analytics firm, conducted a poll to determine this year's most admired man and woman in the world. Although none of the British Royals have reached the top of the list, some of them almost made it. These royals are Queen Elizabeth and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

In the world category, Queen Elizabeth is the only royal who obtained high ratings, placing her in the top 20. She is the world's third most admired woman in 2020.

But, in focusing on the United Kingdom's poll, she topped the list, and is named as the most admired woman in the nation upon receiving a 23.29 percent admiration score. Fourth in line is Kate Middleton, who obtained 7.33 percent in the scoring system.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle, who was not on the list in previous years, took the 11th spot with an admiration score of 1.69 percent. While it is an achievement to get to the list, reports pointed out that the Duchess of Cambridge still appeared to be much more admired than her.

In the case of the Dukes of Cambridge and Sussex, the same dynamic applied. As it happened, Prince William obtained a 9.25 percent score, which places him next to David Attenborough and Barack Obama. Unfortunately for his brother, Prince Harry did not make it to this year's list despite being on the fourth spot in the previous poll.

The results of the poll came almost nine months after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their decision to leave the royal life behind. Several publications seemingly agreed that this might be the reason why the British public found them "less admirable."

The Daily Express, later on, reported that YouGov, also, released a poll centering on the Sussex couple's Netflix deal. Based on the analysis, over 64 percent revealed that they are "not interested" in watching Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's contents.

Twenty percent of the British respondents are "not very interested," and nine percent are "fairly interested." As for the Britons, who are "very interested," the poll results showed that only three percent conceded.
