Barack and Michelle Obama left the White House in 2016. Despite leading a more private life now, the former First Couple still makes it to the headlines in recent years.

Aside from being at the center of reports, they are, also, reaching new heights in polls. The Huffington Post reported that a recent poll from YouGov names them as the "most admired" man and woman of 2020, not only in the United States but, also, across the globe.

The publication recalled that Bill Gates always topped the list since the poll's emergence in 2014. This year, however, the former U.S. President took the spot, placing the Microsoft co-founder at the following place.

The case is different, though, for the former First Lady. She reached the top spot in 2019, adding that Angelina Jolie previously held the position.

The same report continued that all countries that participated in the poll "notably" admired Barack Obama more than Donald Trump, except in Russia, based on YouGov's analysis. In that particular nation, the incumbent U.S. President gets ahead of his predecessor as he placed on the 11th spot against Barack at 15.

As for Michelle Obama and Melania Trump, the former First Lady always outranks her successor. The incumbent president's wife, reportedly, places at the 19th spot both in 2019 and 2020.

YouGov released another list, which strictly focuses on the scope of the United States. Barack and Michelle Obama, "again," ranked first among everyone on the list. Some of these high-profile personalities include Donald Trump, Jimmy Carter, and Bernie Sanders. On the women's side, Queen Elizabeth, Melania Trump, and Oprah Winfrey trailed behind the former First Lady.

YouGov is a public opinion data analytics firm based in London. Its most recent poll included over 45,000 people in 42 countries and territories, according to Insider.

The poll, reportedly, asks the respondents about which person do they admire the most. In calculating the "admiration score," the analysis would come from two questions that the respondents answer.

Reports, then, recalled Gallup's annual poll for the same category. Since its inception in 1948, the firm has continued to ask Americans to name which living man and woman they admire the most.

For 12 consecutive years, Barack Obama holds the top position as the most admired man in the world. In 2019, however, Donald Trump, reportedly, "improved" his percentages and obtained a "tied" result with his predecessor. Meanwhile, Michelle Obama maintained her place at the poll and was still named as the most admired woman in 2019.
