It looks like Shownu is determined to confirm that he is more than just a gifted dancer. After all, the leader of MONSTA X also possesses a soothing voice that never fails to impress his fans. With that in mind, Son Hyunwoo has just confirmed that he has once again been asked to record a song for the upcoming drama Tale of the Gumiho. However, this time, it's a solo track that will allow Shownu's vocals to truly shine.
There is little doubt that MONSTA X is currently one of the busiest idol groups in the industry. Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M. have been working on awesome content for Monbebe, from holding a virtual concert MONSTA X From Seoul With Luv to participating in several variety shows.
In addition to that, the members of MONSTA X have also been featured in numerous magazines with beautiful photoshoots. As for the music, Shownu made sure his fans would get to enjoy listening to his wonderful voice while watching the new drama Tale of the Gumiho.
Shownu recently took to the official MONSTA X Twitter account to share a photo of himself recording in a studio. The group leader confirmed in the captions that he has just recorded an OST for a show that will star Lee Dong Wook, Jo Bo A, and Kim Bum Ho. Son Hyunwoo also asked Monbebe to look forward to the soundtrack before adding the hashtag #구미호뎐 which means "Gumiho."
The post immediately had fans excited about the idea of Shownu singing an original song for Tale of the Gumiho. It was also confirmed that the OST would be a solo effort for Son Hyunwoo, a first for the idol since he debuted with MONSTA X back in 2015. The title and release date of Shownu's OST has not yet been announced. Nevertheless, Monbebe are already looking forward to the release of the soundtrack as well as the highly anticipated new drama starring Lee Dong Wook.
Shownu had previously worked on an OST with fellow MONSTA X member Minhyuk. The song called "Have A Good Night" was recorded for the webseries She Is My Type and was released earlier in September. In addition to recording two OSTs in the past month, Son Hyunwoo also graced one of the covers of Cosmopolitan Korea's September issue and will be featured as the back cover of the October issue of 1st Look magazine.
