There is little doubt that SuperM is currently one of the busiest groups in the business. After all, the super group made up of the biggest SM Entertainment talents has just released their first full album Super One and are promoting the lead single "One (Monster & Infinity)."
However, it looks like Kai is still the one member with the most hectic schedule. The EXO main dancer has just teased some interesting updates about his own solo album.
Kai has always been one of the most versatile entertainers in the K-Pop industry. After debuting with EXO, Kim Jongin has made his mark as a talented dancer, singer, and rapper.
In addition to that, he has modeled for several popular brands internationally. So it's no surprise that Kai is also working on a solo album despite being busy with his promotions as a member of SuperM.
SuperM was recently interviewed by USA Today as part of the promotion for their new album Super One. While speaking to Entertain This! host Ralphie Aversa, the members discussed what it was like to prepare for their latest comeback.
Baekhyun, Taemin, Kai, Taeyong, Ten, Lucas, and Mark all confirmed that they were excited about their current album but the host also wanted to know more about Kim Jongin's solo effort. Not surprisingly, the idols were thrilled to have the opportunity to talk about Kai's solo.
At first, Kai seemed uncertain about talking about his solo effort. However, he eventually opened up, confirming that he is almost done with the album. Kim Jongin also stated that he has been working hard on the music. "I'll be showcasing a lot of different sides of myself," Kai said before adding that he hopes his fans will look forward to it.
At this point, his fellow SuperM member Taemin wasn't satisfied with the answer and prodded Kai for a spoiler. Kim Jongin simply laughed and said he isn't ready to reveal anything about the album just yet.
Kai's solo album is something that fans have been looking forward to for some time now. Although the album has not yet been given an official release date, people are expecting to get an update soon and that Kim Jongin will possibly drop it before the end of the year. SuperM's new album Super One consists of 15 songs including the singles "100" and "One (Monster & Infinity)". The album was released on September 25.
