It seems like Yanan has been very quiet for way too long. The beloved member of PENTAGON has been on hiatus since August 2018 and there is little doubt that Universes have been missing Yanan's voice.

Luckily, the time has finally come for Yanan to reunite with the rest of the boy group. The latest teaser for PENTAGON's upcoming comeback confirms that Yanan is back and he has been keeping an eye on his fans.

In August 2018, CUBE Entertainment announced that Yanan would be on hiatus due to health reasons. Although Universes were understanding at first, there were major concerns when E'Dawn decided to leave PENTAGON in November of the same year.

Some were worried that it could mean that Yanan would soon announce that he is departing from the idol group as well. However, Yanan proved that all the worries would be unfounded when he made an appearance in the most recent teaser for PENTAGON's comeback in October 2020.

The new PENTAGON teaser opens with a mysterious man walking into a room with a monitor in the center with the word "I" flashing on the screen. As the camera follows the man, he slowly sits down and it is revealed to be Yanan. The screen then flashes the full message, "I've been keeping an eye on you."

It's only a brief teaser but that didn't stop Universes from celebrating the return of the beloved PENTAGON member. Yanan immediately trended on Twitter along with "Yanan is Back" as fans were delighted that his two-year hiatus is finally over. For now, it is unclear if Yanan will take part in PTG's Japanese album or if he will be working on new music exclusively for their Korean comeback in October.

Yanan is one of the original members of PENTAGON. Originally a 10-member group, PTG saw the departure of E'Dawn in late 2018. With Yanan on hiatus, Hui, Jinho, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok have been promoting with only eight members for the past two years.

October 2020 will mark the first time PENTAGON will promote with all remaining members since E'Dawn's exit so there is a good reason why Universes are truly excited for the upcoming month.

PENTAGON is currently expected to release their first Japanese studio album Universe: The History on September 23. The idol group's next Korean comeback has not yet been given an official date but is expected to happen in October. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
